MMC

We have built a high-purity manganese supply chain focused on globally competitive
value-added production, we do not simply export raw material. We do that from the
Southern tip of Africa, in direct competition to the mighty China.
I am involved at a strategic level, shaping direction, positioning and long-term
competitiveness.
Beneficiation is often politicised. Very few politicians understand the challenges of
adding value to ore.
MMC sets the standard for quality and resilience.

THINKspiration

THINKspiration was founded by my wife, Tracey. I backed the work early on because
I saw it in action! I truly believed in it, and I still do. I serve as a co-founder and
remain actively involved, particularly in leadership development and strategic
thinking, but nothing gives me more joy than being part of a Visual Strategy Map roll
out on a remote site, that sort of interaction energizes me
The business addresses a common failure point: strategies that never translate into
execution. Through a visual strategy map and the structured alignment that comes
through the conversations THINKspiration helps organisations turn strategy into
action.
If people do not understand the strategy, they cannot execute it. If they do not own it,
it will not achieve what it is meant to achieve..
Clarity drives performance, and THINKspiration helps you create the blueprint.

Fire Sky Ankole

Fire Sky Ankole began as a passion project between my son, Zack, and myself
during the 2020 COVID lockdown.
What started as an appreciation for the Ankole breed evolved into a serious breeding
operation grounded in genetics, innovation, land stewardship and long-term thinking.
Zack and my involvement is personal and completely hands-on, all while Zack is
doing a real life MBA. I am in awe of the next generation!
Fire Sky is a business, but it is also about legacy. Markets move in quarters.
Agriculture moves in generations. That difference keeps perspective sharp.

Resources For Africa

Resources for Africa is an industry platform I co- founded to create space for serious
dialogue in mining and energy.
Through its Indabas, it brings together operators, investors and policymakers to
engage the real issues shaping the sector, capital, regulation and competitiveness.
It has always been about substance over spectacle, and transparency over veiled
promises.
Our industry carries economic weight across the continent, and our collective
conversations should reflect that.
